Electromobility is gaining popularity both in Poland and worldwide. According to analyses of the Polish Automotive Industry Association (Polski Związek Przemysłu Motoryzacyjnego, PZPM) and the Polish Alternative Fuels Association (Polskie Stowarzyszenie Paliw Alternatywnych, PSPA), as of the end of June 2021, there were more than 26 thousand electric cars driven on Polish roads and, what is important, the growing trend is continuing. Interestingly, it is estimated that by 2030 green energy-powered vehicles will account for 12% of global road transport. However, the development of this sector is highly dependent on the availability of electric car chargers.

The cost of "refuelling" electric cars at dedicated stations costs on average 1.1 - 3.5 PLN per 1 kWh depending on the type of charging (DC/AC).
